Following on from the launch of my beginners workshop #lightchasers, I’m proud to also be offering the advanced course! This will be held on Saturday 15th June 2024 at The Drip Coffee House in Wollaston.
This course will be aimed at people who can already confidently use their camera and take a photo that is well exposed independently, knowledge of Lightroom and Photoshop is a bonus but not necessary as I will be going through it step by step. I will be covering
- How I interact and prep clients of all types
- Looking for locations and why I book at what time and where
- More in-depth lighting techniques and my creative process during a shoot
- Posing and how I interact with clients- We will have a shoot with models at the beginning of the day, please bring your cameras and lenses as you will participating in directing the shoot.
- Directing a shoot, keeping control of clients and managing their expectations and knowing when to end the shoot.
During the lunch break at The Drip Coffee House in Wollaston, lunch and refreshments will be provided. In the afternoon session, we will delve into:
- The significance of using RAW files and how to achieve correct exposure in-camera, with the aid of Lightroom or Photoshop for enhancement and correction
- Fundamental color correction, white balance adjustments, and exposure fine-tuning in Lightroom and Photoshop
- Exploring presets, their advantages, and disadvantages
- My personal workflow for any client session
Once the course concludes, participants will gain access to my online community, where they can share images from the workshop, engage in challenges, and potentially be part of a student exhibition at the year’s end.
