New beginnings and goodbye for nows…

Well, hi everyone! Long time no speak? Not really the blog post I ever thought I would write, but Angelfire Photography; newborn, maternity, studio and wedding photographer is no more! I’m done. My studio has shut down (bar one last newborn session), most of my props, outfits and wraps have now been sold and I’ve stopped booking people in to the studio. Covid really was the nail in my studio business coffin, and as hard as I’ve tried I’ve never really recovered from being forced to have a massive break in clients. As all small business owners know, you

I don’t know how I never blogged this wedding from last year! But seeing all the images pop up on time hop on Facebook this week has reminded me to get these images up on here! Happy 1st anniversary to you both! I hope the first year of married life has been as amazing as your wedding day and that you had a lovely anniversary together! Brad and Rachel got married at Saint Endoc Church in Daymer Ā Bay, followed by a party at Roscarrock Manor Farm in Port Issac. Every single thing about their day was perfect, and the
When I had the message from Eve many months ago about the possibility of photographing her baby’s birth I was excited for so many reasons! Firstly because I know how long she and her husband have been waiting for this little one, and secondly because I’ve know her literally since I was 5 years old. My earliest memories of primary school all include Eve, as well as sitting in her front room and listening to Kylie and Jason on repeat (well it was the 80s haha!!), and eating fish and chip crisps, talking about who we would marry and
I thought I would kick off 2017 by doing something out of my comfort zone and entered the International Association of Professional Birth Photographer’s annual competition. I was lucky enough to photograph 2 births last year and even though I’m under no illusion I will win, I thought it was a fantastic opportunity to highlight how wonderful an experience it was. In the UK birth photography is definitely not something that gets attention (not compared to other parts of the world anyway), its such a shame because birth is something that is so natural and such an awe inspiring
Well its that time again! 2016 has been one crazy ride, so many highs, lows and in-betweens its hard to know where to start! Professionally 2016 has been the busiest year I’ve ever had which has been just unbelievable. I say it every year but I do honestly sit back and wonder how I was so lucky to turn my passion into my job, and actually get to do it every single day! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many families, whether that be bumps, weddings, babies, children, births and had my work published on an international level
Well this summer has been an absolute whirlwind! I’ve been lucky enough to photograph weddings up and down the country, as well as welcoming many lovely clients into the studio for sessions. All of these bookings plus 6 weeks school holidays with my wonderful boy has meant I’m really slacking in blog posts!! So, going to kick off the blog drought on here with one of the first weddings of the summer at Curradine BarnsĀ . Its one of the closer to home weddings I’ve worked this year, but definitely one of the most stunning. After wondering about the weather
Whoops its been a little while since my last blog! Its been SO busy the last 2 months, I don’t know where to start and what to blog first! Well I do sort of know what to blog first, and thats Amelie’s birth story! When my sister asked me to be her birth partner I was so thrilled. She always said she wanted me to be present if she ever had another baby, but it was one of those things you say as sisters, and I never thought she was serious! When she found out she was pregnant 9
Well I don’t know where to start with these beauties! So wonderfully privileged to be chosen to photograph Anouska and Elisa, the gorgeous newborn twin girls that came to see me in the studio the other day! At 5lb 5oz and 4lb 13oz born they were super tiny and I even had special outfits made for them for the session so they wouldn’t look too big on them in the photos(hand crafted by the lovely High Peak Design) So many thank you’s to their wonderful mama and dad for entrusting me with this lovely task of taking their very
Seth came to see at just 12 days old! He was sooo adorable!! His mommy and daddy were kind enough to let my assistant and I document the session for some behind the scenes photos which you can see in my previous blog post hereĀ  Its such a privilege to be able to capture these early moments for people. Babies are like this for what seems like a micro second and I love that I’m able to provide this for people to keep forever.   Angelfire Photography specialises in newborn, baby, family, child, maternity and wedding photography in West
