Beginner Photography Courses

Hey guys!

So, after over 13 years of being in business and being asked the question 100s of times, I finally feel like to time is right to start offering my own brand of photography training.

It’s not been an easy choice, I love what I do and I didn’t want to take time away from photographing clients to teach others how to photograph potential clients haha, but actually I think I could really help people up their game and improve their skills.

I started being interested in photography at 17 years old and followed the education route ; college then a BA(Hons)Photography from University. I’ve been a Jessops manager, an artworker for a huge nationwide portrait company and edited 800 images a day. I’ve photographed live music and concerts for mags, websites, fanzines, record labels as well as births, maternity, weddings, newborns, babies, families and now horses and dogs. I’ve worked commercially and freelance, and been published worldwide as well as winning awards nationally and internationally. I have SO many years of experiences to share with new photographers as well as the technical knowledge to back it all up. I really want to help people unlock their creativity and learn how to use their cameras better and with that I’ve decided my new learning courses will all be under the umbrella of

I will be holding my very first course for the beginner #lightchasers on Saturday 18th May 2024 at The Drip Coffee Company in Wollaston starting at 9am and finishing around 12/12:30pm. We will be starting off with a classroom element where I will teach you

*What makes a good photo?

*Exposure Triangle and the elements that are contained

*Focusing and how to nail it for every image

*Composition, how why and where

•Chasing the light and how to make it work for your image

We will also be covering modes on your camera, how to understand RAW files and JPEGS and the basics of your DSLR.

After the classroom part is done we will be going to a ‘photo walk’ and putting into practice everything we have just learned as well as a few challenges for fun!

You will also have access to my online group #lightchasers which I’m hoping to use to provide a level of aftercare and support to students, weekly/monthly challenges, constructive critiques and then a student exhibition towards the end of the year where you can show off your improved skills for an audience.

There are still a few places left! To book on please click HERE
