West Midlands Birth Photographer | International Association of Professional Birth Photographers Competition Entries

I thought I would kick off 2017 by doing something out of my comfort zone and entered the International Association of Professional Birth Photographer’s annual competition. I was lucky enough to photograph 2 births last year and even though I’m under no illusion I will win, I thought it was a fantastic opportunity to highlight how wonderful an experience it was. In the UK birth photography is definitely not something that gets attention (not compared to other parts of the world anyway), its such a shame because birth is something that is so natural and such an awe inspiring
Well its that time again! 2016 has been one crazy ride, so many highs, lows and in-betweens its hard to know where to start! Professionally 2016 has been the busiest year I’ve ever had which has been just unbelievable. I say it every year but I do honestly sit back and wonder how I was so lucky to turn my passion into my job, and actually get to do it every single day! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many families, whether that be bumps, weddings, babies, children, births and had my work published on an international level
Seth came to see at just 12 days old! He was sooo adorable!! His mommy and daddy were kind enough to let my assistant and I document the session for some behind the scenes photos which you can see in my previous blog post here  Its such a privilege to be able to capture these early moments for people. Babies are like this for what seems like a micro second and I love that I’m able to provide this for people to keep forever.   Angelfire Photography specialises in newborn, baby, family, child, maternity and wedding photography in West
I got to meet Aubree and her wonderful Mommy and Daddy the day after her due date at which she was already 14 days new! She was so petite but perfect in every way and was so lovely and sleepy for her first photo session, she was a total please to have in the studio! Lovely to break out the spring colours for this session too, I’ve missed brighter colours over the winter months!! I really do consider it a privilege to capture family photos that I know people will look back on in years to come!
I first met Emme’s mommy and daddy around 5 years ago when I first started up my business properly and decided to make the jump to being self employed when I photographed their first born Zach. It was SO nice to see them all again and meet the beautiful new addition to the family. Zach was so excited and proud to show off his new sister! I’m so lucky I get to do this job and watch families grow! Its just awesome!       Angelfire Photography specialises in newborn, baby, family, child, maternity and wedding photography in West
I’ve been so lucky this year with all the lovely babies I’ve had in the studio (not all are shared online), and Ella was another of my beautiful January babies! Loving using some more spring colours in my set ups as we are moving out of Winter. I love using the earthy, dark colours towards the end of the year but its so nice to be able to start adding pops of colour again and I think coral pink was totally Ella’s colour!!         Angelfire Photography specialises in newborn, baby, family, child, maternity and wedding photography
Freddie and his cousins, mom and dad came to visit me in the studio a few weeks ago. He was absolutely perfect in every way! Such a gorgeous sleepy little guy he was a joy to photograph!     Angelfire Photography specialises in newborn, baby, family, child, maternity and wedding photography in West Midlands, England and surrounding areas including but not limited to Stourbridge and Birmingham
Well, not quite sure how to start this one other than this is probably one of the most amazing things I’ve ever witnessed (apart from the birth of my own little one of course!) Photographing Kirsty’s labour and the birth of her little boy all started off as a bit of a joke and typo. She asked me to do photos of her baby but it came up as birth, and I wrote back a very long message about how I would be honoured to be a part of it etc etc, all which we both found really funny and
One of my favourite things about photographing weddings is getting to know my couples! As I travel up and down the country for weddings, (and fingers crossed next year abroad!!), I dont always get to meet couples in person until the wedding day. We have lots of Skype consultations, but one of the best ways to get to know them is by having a pre-wedding or engagement shoot! These only last around an hour and are a total giggle! Its a great way to practice your wedding face (lol) and to get some photos of you and your other half
I was lucky enough to photograph the very beautiful Toma in the 3rd trimester of her pregnancy a few weeks ago. Maternity sessions are such a lovely way to capture such a special time in your life, and the bond you have with your baby even before they were born. I love the excitement and love for their unborn little person that pregnant ladies have. As a mom myself its hard to put into words the emotions you feel for your little wriggly bump that becomes your baby. Its just amazing!! I can’t wait to meet Toma’s baby in a
