West Midlands Birth Photographer | Welcome to the World Rex

When I had the message from Eve many months ago about the possibility of photographing her baby’s birth I was excited for so many reasons! Firstly because I know how long she and her husband have been waiting for this little one, and secondly because I’ve know her literally since I was 5 years old. My earliest memories of primary school all include Eve, as well as sitting in her front room and listening to Kylie and Jason on repeat (well it was the 80s haha!!), and eating fish and chip crisps, talking about who we would marry and
I thought I would kick off 2017 by doing something out of my comfort zone and entered the International Association of Professional Birth Photographer’s annual competition. I was lucky enough to photograph 2 births last year and even though I’m under no illusion I will win, I thought it was a fantastic opportunity to highlight how wonderful an experience it was. In the UK birth photography is definitely not something that gets attention (not compared to other parts of the world anyway), its such a shame because birth is something that is so natural and such an awe inspiring
Well its that time again! 2016 has been one crazy ride, so many highs, lows and in-betweens its hard to know where to start! Professionally 2016 has been the busiest year I’ve ever had which has been just unbelievable. I say it every year but I do honestly sit back and wonder how I was so lucky to turn my passion into my job, and actually get to do it every single day! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many families, whether that be bumps, weddings, babies, children, births and had my work published on an international level
Well this summer has been an absolute whirlwind! I’ve been lucky enough to photograph weddings up and down the country, as well as welcoming many lovely clients into the studio for sessions. All of these bookings plus 6 weeks school holidays with my wonderful boy has meant I’m really slacking in blog posts!! So, going to kick off the blog drought on here with one of the first weddings of the summer at Curradine Barns . Its one of the closer to home weddings I’ve worked this year, but definitely one of the most stunning. After wondering about the weather
I got to meet Aubree and her wonderful Mommy and Daddy the day after her due date at which she was already 14 days new! She was so petite but perfect in every way and was so lovely and sleepy for her first photo session, she was a total please to have in the studio! Lovely to break out the spring colours for this session too, I’ve missed brighter colours over the winter months!! I really do consider it a privilege to capture family photos that I know people will look back on in years to come!
Well this year kicked off with a ton of newborns and maternity sessions! Sadly I can’t share them all but I can share some 🙂   First up is the very handsome Leo, 17 days new. Leo was my 1st newborn baby of 2016 and he was a pleasure to photograph! Hope everyone had a great christmas and new year! Enjoy!! Just to add that 2016 is filling up really quickly and I’ve already had to turn a ton of people away. The best time to book in for your newborn session is at you 12 or 20 week
Well 2015 was quite a year to look back on! I’m going to try and keep the words to a minimum so there is more room for the images! 2015 for me as a photographer was nothing short of wonderful and my busiest year to date with 2016 already a quarter of the way fully booked. I was privileged enough to capture so many amazing moments. First breaths, first looks, first steps, first time being called Mr and Mrs, as well as once in a lifetime moments in some spectacular locations. I travelled up and down the
Oh Aurora! Absolutely loved her name! Aurora’s mommy and daddy first came to see me for her sister Delilah’s newborn photos a little while ago and I was just so excited to meet their very beautiful new addition! The first photo below is Delilah and her mommy on the left and Aurora on the right! I first met Maisie’s mommy and daddy at a wedding I photographed at Hereford Cathedral 3 years ago (not on the blog), their oldest daughter Molly came along too and was extremely proud of her baby sister!     Angelfire Photography specialises in newborn, baby, family, child, maternity and wedding photography in West Midlands, England and surrounding areas including but not limited to Stourbridge and Birmingham.
Well this is a big one! It was so hard to cull images for Solene and Toby’s blog post as it was literally amazing and I didn’t want to leave out anything! They both started the day getting ready at their parents houses about 10 minutes apart from each other. It was so much fun to capture the prep for both bride and groom, there were just so many people in each house, it was just such a family atmosphere. I knew this would be a wedding that stayed with me for a long time. Solene and Toby got married
