When I had the message from Eve many months ago about the possibility of photographing her baby’s birth I was excited for so many reasons! Firstly because I know how long she and her husband have been waiting for this little one, and secondly because I’ve know her literally since I was 5 years old. My earliest memories of primary school all include Eve, as well as sitting in her front room and listening to Kylie and Jason on repeat (well it was the 80s haha!!), and eating fish and chip crisps, talking about who we would marry and
I thought I would kick off 2017 by doing something out of my comfort zone and entered the International Association of Professional Birth Photographer’s annual competition. I was lucky enough to photograph 2 births last year and even though I’m under no illusion I will win, I thought it was a fantastic opportunity to highlight how wonderful an experience it was. In the UK birth photography is definitely not something that gets attention (not compared to other parts of the world anyway), its such a shame because birth is something that is so natural and such an awe inspiring
Well its that time again! 2016 has been one crazy ride, so many highs, lows and in-betweens its hard to know where to start! Professionally 2016 has been the busiest year I’ve ever had which has been just unbelievable. I say it every year but I do honestly sit back and wonder how I was so lucky to turn my passion into my job, and actually get to do it every single day! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many families, whether that be bumps, weddings, babies, children, births and had my work published on an international level
Whoops its been a little while since my last blog! Its been SO busy the last 2 months, I don’t know where to start and what to blog first! Well I do sort of know what to blog first, and thats Amelie’s birth story! When my sister asked me to be her birth partner I was so thrilled. She always said she wanted me to be present if she ever had another baby, but it was one of those things you say as sisters, and I never thought she was serious! When she found out she was pregnant 9
I got to meet Aubree and her wonderful Mommy and Daddy the day after her due date at which she was already 14 days new! She was so petite but perfect in every way and was so lovely and sleepy for her first photo session, she was a total please to have in the studio! Lovely to break out the spring colours for this session too, I’ve missed brighter colours over the winter months!! I really do consider it a privilege to capture family photos that I know people will look back on in years to come!
Well 2015 was quite a year to look back on! I’m going to try and keep the words to a minimum so there is more room for the images! 2015 for me as a photographer was nothing short of wonderful and my busiest year to date with 2016 already a quarter of the way fully booked. I was privileged enough to capture so many amazing moments. First breaths, first looks, first steps, first time being called Mr and Mrs, as well as once in a lifetime moments in some spectacular locations. I travelled up and down the
Freddie and his cousins, mom and dad came to visit me in the studio a few weeks ago. He was absolutely perfect in every way! Such a gorgeous sleepy little guy he was a joy to photograph!     Angelfire Photography specialises in newborn, baby, family, child, maternity and wedding photography in West Midlands, England and surrounding areas including but not limited to Stourbridge and Birmingham
I first met Maisie’s mommy and daddy at a wedding I photographed at Hereford Cathedral 3 years ago (not on the blog), their oldest daughter Molly came along too and was extremely proud of her baby sister!     Angelfire Photography specialises in newborn, baby, family, child, maternity and wedding photography in West Midlands, England and surrounding areas including but not limited to Stourbridge and Birmingham.
Well, not quite sure how to start this one other than this is probably one of the most amazing things I’ve ever witnessed (apart from the birth of my own little one of course!) Photographing Kirsty’s labour and the birth of her little boy all started off as a bit of a joke and typo. She asked me to do photos of her baby but it came up as birth, and I wrote back a very long message about how I would be honoured to be a part of it etc etc, all which we both found really funny and
